Obviously, this type of treatment is a lot less traumatic for the patient as opposed to a traditional facelift, which is ideal for patients who are hesitant to go ‘under the knife’. Similar, effective results can be achieved in this way without having to undergo surgery, which also minimises downtime and discomfort. The risks are therefore also reduced, with infection highly unlikely. This is a non-permanent treatment as the hyaluronic acid-based fillers are naturally broken down within the body over time. Some women choose to opt for a liquid facelift with the intention of undergoing a full facelift at a later date.

A non-surgical facelift offers full facial rejuvenation, for a brighter, youthful, healthy appearance. There will be improvement to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, facial sagging, gaunt and hollow-like features, and dark circles.

Most patients require just one treatment, with results showing instantly. However, the best results aren’t seen until around 3-4 weeks post-treatment. As this is a non-permanent treatment, most patients tend to see their results last from around 9-12 months, before having to schedule repeat treatments to maintain the results.

Only  minimal discomfort is felt throughout the treatment for most patients. A topical or injectable anaesthetic is also used to help reduce any pain or discomfort.

The procedure will take between 60-90 minutes.

Due to the minimally invasive nature of the treatment, you should be able to return to your routine immediately post-treatment with no trouble. However, be sure not to agitate the area for two days while the fillers settle and try not to expose the treatment area to strong sunlight during this time.

Serious side effects are few and far between, but it is completely normal to experience some swelling, bruising and redness at first. This can be covered using makeup while the effects subside.
